Special Training Programs

SETI also offers special training programs in specific areas related to working with children and youth with disabilities, such as Behavior Management, Montessori Curriculum, Language and Communication, Protection and Sexual Education, Learning Disabilities, Early Intervention, Vocational Rehabilitation, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity, etc.

General Training Programs

SETI offers general training programs with set content and training hours, revised regularly, with a level of basic general information preparing the trainees (psychologists, social workers, educators, etc.) to start their career in the disability field, and a level of advanced information and techniques for specialization in specific fields or to work with specific age groups.

Tailored Trainings

SETI offers training programs to community and official entities at their request, upon a needs assessment made for their staff. Numerous NGOs, CDAs, as well as government bodies benefited from such trainings to raise awareness of their staff on disability issues, to participate in Disability Equality Training (DET) and Disability Awareness Program (DAP).

Training Courses

SETI has been originally established in 1986 as a training center. Since then, and for almost 40 years, its training programs are constantly developed and updated to meet the changing needs in the field of disability for the various target groups. SETI’s training courses and workshops are based on clear objectives and outcomes for each, giving the opportunity to trainees to enlarge their background/knowledge, to understand the theories in order to be able to practice and apply what they learned. Support to Researchers

SETI provides support to researchers wishing to implement research in the field of disability by helping them in the design of their research to make it more appropriate to the needs of the field. This includes providing information, selecting relevant target groups for interviews, and revising questionnaires as needed. Hundreds of researchers have thus benefited from SETI’s support over the years.
